Hey there, I'm Nory, a language lover thrilled to guide you on a journey of discovering the joy in learning languages and connecting with awesome, like-minded folks along the way.
As a big foodie, nothing makes me happier than bringing people together, spreading smiles through fun activities, and of course, delicious food.
With over 8 years of experience organizing language exchange events across Europe, I can honestly say it's my passion and joy to see two or more people connect and become friends during these occasions.
I'm super excited to welcome you to our retreat, where I'll be making sure you are all comfortable, relaxed and fully ready to immerse yourself in the beautiful world of Spanish language and culture! 😊

Your Spanish Teacher During our Sheffield Course
Hi! I’m Nuria, a native Spanish speaker from Lleida, Spain, with over 25 years of experience teaching Spanish and English to adults.
I studied English language and literature at University and later qualified as a legal and medical translator in London, where I also founded a successful language school and translation agency.
I hold the DELE C1 Diploma and help students prepare for DELE exams. I’ve taught ESOL, TESOL, IELTS, and supported PhD students internationally. My global consulting experience, combined with a love for lifelong learning, shapes a flexible and engaging teaching style.
I aim to create a warm, supportive space where students feel encouraged and confident.
Whether you're learning for work, study, or personal growth, I’ll help you reach your goals—and maybe even share my famous Spanish omelette!

Your Spanish Teacher at our Retreats
Hola mi gente bella!
I'm Eduardo, and I'm from Costa Rica.
I've been teaching languages for over ten years now. I spent a wonderful seven years teaching in China, and then I moved to the UK, where I built my own teaching business and have been running it successfully ever since!
When I started learning languages, I only spoke Spanish, my native language, but now, I speak four languages, so I really understand the challenges and frustrations that come with this journey.
I love sharing my experiences and the lessons I've learned along the way with anyone who, like me, dreams of fluency.
Oh, and a little extra about me: I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, and I love cooking!

Why the name PICOS?
We’ve chosen the brand name PICOS for our Spanish Immersion Retreat business because it perfectly reflects both the location and our mission.
Our retreat is the only one in the Peak District, affectionately known as "The Peaks." In Spanish, "peaks" translates to PICOS, symbolizing not only the stunning natural setting but also the idea of reaching the peak of your Spanish learning journey with us.
